Lillestrøm Musikkorps comes from the town Lillestrøm, located a few kilometers outside Oslo. The band, founded in 1920 is very much looking forward to celebrating its centenary anniversary in 2020.
The band members work continuously to improve their musical skills and this has been one of the contributing factors to the musical success over the last 30 years. Lillestrøm Musikkorps plays a broad variety of music, and their concert concepts has great variation.
Program
Mr. Trond Myhre (1968), clarinetist in The Staff Band of the Norwegian Armed Forces, has his degree in music from the Norwegian Academy of Music. Myhre has been the band’s artistic director and primary conductor since 2002. The collaboration has been successful; artistically through his thorough interpretations, and with multiple high-result concert performances in competitions. In 2012, Trond Myhre was awarded “Conductor of the year” by the Norwegian Band Federation.
